Per Diem job search

How do you get a per diem job with the one month training requirement without quitting your full time job. I know one can ask for LOA what category of LOA will this be. I know Nurses have two jobs I'm wondering what they did to maintain their full-time job and meet the requirements of the per diem job.

Not all jobs require 1 month of training. I obtained a per diem job that was really a part-time 2 days/week job on Mondays and Tuesdays a couple months before I left my hospital job. I told my primary job I had conflicts most Mondays and Tuesdays and then told the per diem job I couldn't work the Monday after my night weekend.
