Pennsylvania RN License by endorsement

I am applying for a PA license by endorsement for a temporary RN position for Summer 2020. I have been on the licensing website and am a bit confused by the whole FBI/criminal record part. Can anyone who has gone through the process shed some light? Would also appreciate real time for how long it took you to receive your license or TPP to start practicing. All of this for working 6 days seems a bit over the top so I am trying to figure out if it is even worth the trouble.

Hi, did you ever figure this out? Im a new grad from louisiana and the website is very slow and just a bunch of confusion to me. From my understanding you dont need an FBI report, but you can add it to your state report if you want to.

Just got my PA TPP. You need to get a background check from the state police or other agency in your current state, and every state you've ever lived, worked, or attended school. In some states that's handled by the state itself while in others it's farmed out to a third party like Identigo.

It took 3 months to get my temp PA license by endorsement. Not sure if PA was the slow poke or NJ though.

For the criminal background stuff, I believe I had to get fingerprinted. I remember going to some little store in Philly. Email the board to find out where to go and what to bring with you.

Hi, I think so, LOL. I finally was able to speak with a live human on the phone and you are right, I do not need the FBI/fingerprinting report. In my state I can do a Cori on myself and grant the PA Board access to see the report.

Hello, I am from NJ and have my NJ nursing license and need some help with attaining the PA license by endorsement. Can anyone run through the steps they went through? Thank you!!
