Doped any one know where I can have fingerprints rolled on the fingerprint card for FBI fingerprint checking? local police station or other agencies? I couldn't find one in Philadelphia. Thanks.

Specializes in L & D; Postpartum.

I had mine done when I applied for my concealed weapons permit. Here, it was at the County Sherriff's office.

Thanks for the reply. Do you possibly have the address and phone number of the County Sherriff's office? Is it in Philadelphia area? I'll need the fingerprint checking for attending a nursing program in this Fall.

I'm from West PA and my school provided this link https://www.pa.cogentid.com/index_dpw.htm and advised us not to go to a police station since it will take longer. I registred online, got a reciept, and took it to a nearby center to have it done. I got my results in 5 days. There's a map of Pennsylvania that has marked locations of the centers you can get your fingerprints done. I found 8 places for Phil. Dont' forget to bring your receipt and state ID when you're fingerprinted.

I live in Washington State, so my Sherriff's department probably won't be helpful to you:crying2: But your own local might be.

Hi, mochabean

Did you get your fingerprints rolled on the card in INKin this center? It seemed that they use scanner to do fingerprints.

The place I went to used a scanner.

I did mine today to avoid the waiting period of 10 days after submitting my Nclex authorization. But my question his, what is the advantage of doing it electronically or card rolling?

I'm not sure what's the advantage of doing it electronically or card rolling. My school sent us a fingerprint card. So I have to do card rolling. Then I mail the completed card and other forms to somewhere. I'd also like to know where I can do ink fingerprint checking. Thanks.

Specializes in None yet!.

I went to Holy Family university for my fingerprints. They use a scanner and you sort of roll your finger over it. It's a Cogent location, I'm not sure if that's what you need. You can go to the cogent website that the above responder posted and follow the instructions to get your receipt, which you just take to the school.
