Montgomery County Community College Nursing

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Is anyone familiar with Montgomery County Community College Nursing program. I am currently in school completing my pre-requistes and currently scouting for different nursing schools in and around the Philadelphia area and MCCC was what I am looking at it.

From the way I have seen thus far it is looks like a really good program and gets your right into the nursing program, less prerequistes then most nursing schools and more intensive on clinical classes.

Any input and experience you have encountered with the school is appreciated.

Hi there! If you type in MC3 or Montgomery County... etc. into the search box, a few threads will pop up. Here is the most recent one (other than yours of course!): https://allnurses.com/pennsylvania-nursing/montgomery-county-community-994107.html

Best Wishes!

Thank you, I am currently taking pre-requistes at a different community college, will MCCC accept the courses and use it as points.

First, I would check out an information session to get the most accurate answers to any questions you may have. Second, I believe they can but they are worth (slightly) less. MontCo has a transfer equivalency program on their website you can use to see if the course(s) you are taking now matches up flawlessly with their course options.

Hope this helps!

Thanks and are you part of the nursing program?

Yep, I was just accepted and start next semester.

Don't mind me asking but how were you admitted, what were your pathways to being accepted. I am seriously looking at this school cause they seem more intensive on clinicals.

You get more points for your application if you take the classes as MC3. Aim for the 60 range, point-wise. I think I heard their last round took people with points ranging 58ish-80ish. They used to only give you the extra points for the grades if you took them at MC3 (like 1 point for taking the class regardless of where you took is, 4 points for getting an A at MC3, etc), but I don't know if they still do that.

Hi is anyone currently in the Montgomery community college Nursing program ?
