Pearsonvue trick nclex-pn

Nursing Students NCLEX

I live in california , so we aren't able to do the quick results in 48 hrs I guess . I have super bad anxiety and the nclex has taken my anxiety through the roof 😔. I am trying to stay positive and confident though , any how , I started my test and it started off okay , then it just kept getting harder and harder I swear I think I got about 20 select all that applies which I was so terrible with in nursing school . I got some EKG strips , a few diet questions , a decent amount of infection control and lab value questions which I was okay with it wasn't those questions you could think your way through you either knew it or you didn't and I drilled thoughs specific topics 2 days prior to my test thank god , I got a lot of " prioritizing " questions and " initial action " questions . I walked out feeling like I had no idea how to feel about how difficult that test was . I got scared when it shut off at 85 because I heard if it shuts off at 85 you are either did really good or really bad and by how hard that test kept getting I felt like I was doing bad and felt like I failed so I called my school immediately as soon as I got to the car and they did the pearsonvue trick , they didn't call it that but going through google I found out that was the name for it lol and she explained how it worked and she said it wouldn't let them reregister me so that it meant I passed I cried and then I drove to my school because I was in shock still about how hard it was I couldn't believe it . So they did it again and showed me the " good pop up " . I was excited but not too excited cus I'm so scared that If I get to happy , I am going to be really disappointed if in 3-6 weeks I get a letter stating I failed , the nclex lady at my school said it's 99.9% accurate and to be happy but I'm still just so so anxious I guess I came on here just looking for some reassurance because I'm having major anxiety about this . I know I really should be more positive about this ! I told my close family and friends so I am going to be devastated if the pearsonvue trick didn't work but I'm just praying it did work and that I really did pass . The more I google I seen people say you have to wait 3 hours then some one else said 24 hours and I called not even 5 minutes after my computer shut off , so I would say they did the pearsonvue trick about 8 mins after my exam was completed and then again about 30mins after my exam was completed when I went straight from the testing site to my school . Sorry for making this ridiculously long I'm just nervous .

Do the pvt at least 24h after your exam.

The odds are in your favor; somewhere around 90% of all first-timers at the NCLEX do pass it.

As for the rest, I personally wish I could THROTTLE whoever it was at your school that fed you a bunch of BS. For starters, your exam is scored twice within the first 24 hours after completion of your exam; your first scoring is instant upon the exam closing (which is how it closed in the first place). The second one, however, the one that willl determine conclusively whether you will pass or fail, happens at an unknown time AT SOME POINT in the following 24 hours. This is why we keep telling people to wait at least 24 hours before doing the PVT. Oh, there are puh-lenty of people who will declare "PVT worked for me after only 15 minutes!" or an hour...or three...ad nauseum. All they know is that their first score and their second happened to match; they did not wait for the second score, and could not possibly have known when it would/did occur.

While in all likelihood you did pass based on the info you provided, there are absolutely those who get the "good pop up" and later on find out they failed. Or the "bad pop up" (which means they threw away money on a new registration in order to DO the PVT) and it turns out they passed.

Would also love to know where "99.9% accurate comes from, but I already know the answer to that: the person you spoke with simply made up a number that sounded really convincing. :nono:

I'm sure you're nervous, and I do hope you passed, and I do believe you probably DID pass. This is written mostly for those who will believe the foolish person at your school who did this for your benefit, but did you no favors....or anyone else who might get different results than the "expert" told them :(

Best of luck to you!
