Computer failure = retake at no cost per FAQ on Pearson & NCSBN
. Though not exactly your situation, close enough. (From NCSBN NCLEX FAQ)If there are technical problems during the examination, what happens to the candidate’s exam? The examination system is designed so that even in the event of a technical problem the exam can usually be restarted without any interruption to the exam itself. However, if the technical problem lasts for 30 minutes or more, a candidate will be offered an opportunity to be rescheduled for a new exam at no charge.
I'm so sorry to hear this happened to you! I would probably be an absolute wreck myself, but honestly all you can do is wait. Based on the post above, a re-test will cost you nothing. If you have to re-test, think of it as extra time for studying. Now you know what the real NCLEX looks like and what to expect. Good luck!

I took boards on August 20th. During the exam, I answered a question & started reading the next question when my computer froze. A message box appeared saying an error has occurred. I raised my hand for assistance from the TA but she didn't know how to fix it. Pearson Vue was contacted & told the TA to restart my computer. After I was logged back in, I got the end of exam survey even though I was in the middle of a question when the error happened. Now I received an email from the state board of nursing that said Pearson Vue is unable to score my exam but are working on the issue. As of 8/23 430 pm MDT, Pearson Vue has not be able to fix it. What exactly does this mean for me? Shouldn't I be allowed to take it again? It is considered a failure?
Feeling extremely nervous & it's torture
