Part 1 (the original thread)--
Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?
Poll to take once you have received your response--
Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results
Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:
1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.
2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.
3) click 'register' on the right side.
4) click the 'credit card' link.
5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.
6) enter your username.
7) enter your password.
? click the button.
9) click 'register' on the left side.
10) select your test type.
11) click the button.
12) select your country.
13) click the button.
14) answer the yes/no questions.
15) select your country again.
16) select your state.
17) type in your city.
18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.
19) select your school.
20) select the month and year of your graduation.
21) select your board of nursing.
22) click the button.
Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Took my NCLEX today, shut off at 85. I am still literally shaking! I feel like I bombed it but about 3 hours later I did the trick and got the "good" pop up, I am praying this trick is true bc I think the vessels in my eyes are going to pop!:banghead:
:crying2:
Don't know how I am going to make it 48hrs
then it is still a dream for me, i study for 6months q n a and everything, i went on cc page:((
Just wanted to know why you waited so long to take it, family problems, money issues, were you too busy working or did you just feel like you needed that long to study. I read and been told countless of times to take it as soon as you can because you will forget things and I believe its true. Ive seen people who waited so long have a hard time passing or considered the exam really hard. They usually recommend taking the exam as soon as you finish school but I say at least within 2 months. Whatever the reason dont let it get you down. Start studying again, do a lot of questions and read the rationales, make sure you know the content. Saunders and La Charity are great books. Good luck and you arent alone, theres a lot of others taking it for the second time.
I took the NCLEX on June 22 in California, did the Pearson Vue trick, got the good pop up, then had to wait over 3 weeks for the state to post my license. I almost gave up, thinking I really failed. So don't give up hope if you have to wait up to 4 weeks. Just wanted to spread the word.
I'm still waiting for the state to post my license and I passed on July 7th. It is excruciating to have to wait....
