Part 1 (the original thread)--
Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?
Poll to take once you have received your response--
Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results
Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:
1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.
2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.
3) click 'register' on the right side.
4) click the 'credit card' link.
5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.
6) enter your username.
7) enter your password.
? click the button.
9) click 'register' on the left side.
10) select your test type.
11) click the button.
12) select your country.
13) click the button.
14) answer the yes/no questions.
15) select your country again.
16) select your state.
17) type in your city.
18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.
19) select your school.
20) select the month and year of your graduation.
21) select your board of nursing.
22) click the button.
Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick
Hi everybody, I thought I owe it to everybody who took the NCLEX and tried the PVUE to let them know that it is not a means to trick NCLEX to give you a passing grade. It is only a means to know in advance whether you failed or not before the official confirmation is known through the BON/BRN website in your state. I tried it hours after I took my NCLEX-RN last August 17 (265, 5hrs 58 min) and got a good pop up. As of August 19, BRN CA officially listed me as RN 782200. Go check me out. PVUE really works so if you get a cc page instead of good pop up then most likely you have failed. It will be hard to accept but the good thing is there's no limit as to how many times you can take the exam, you only need to pass it once. Believe in yourself that you can do it. Good luck.
I took my NCLEX-RN on Thursday, I had 80 questions or so, I quit counting after 75 but I only answered a couple of questions after 75 and the machine stopped. I waited 2 hours and tried the PV trick, and got the good pop-up. Well today I checked and I PASSED!! I guess I am a RN now.
Steve
Well, I left a msg here on the 17th about this trick but didn't work for me that day...tried again the next day, I got a good popup! I checked unofficial results the next day & I PASSED!!! I checked official results yesterday & I indeed PASSED!!! I was kinda skeptical but this trick really worked! Thanks to whoever started this pvt thing. :nurse:
:yeah:
Well I have got to say that this glitch, ( I do believe that is what this is) is a great thing. I took my test on Thursday August 19th, and had 85 questions the minimum for the LPN test. I had a lot (lost count) of SATA which I hear are the hard ones. 3-4 math, and 2 exhibits plus the multiple choice. When I computer shut off. I felt that I had failed, there was so many questions I had no clue and meds I had never heard of which is hard for me cause I have read the drug book front to back several times through the last ten years no joke. I just knew I failed miserably or passed because I had only 85 questions. When I got home I dedided after arguing with myself on the drive home I would try the trick. The test said delivery sucessful, so from the forum part one I knew I could try it. Well I got the GOOD pop-up. Which made me feel a little better. But today I was able to get the unofficial results (thank God Missouri lets us in MO do that I feel bad for the people in CA who can't do it) and I PASSED. YEAH!!! So while I am not on the BON website for MO yet, and believe me I have checked atleast 20 times since Thurs. It feels good to know that the glitch worked for me too. Now I just have to wait for my license to come in the mail, which hopefully will be Monday or Tuesday. But a big load is off my shoulders!!! Good Luck to those of you who will be testing soon. And try the trick, after you test it will relieve some anxiety. Me doing a Happy dance
hi guys I am REACHING OUT, to all the nurses who took the NCLEX RN exam I am a FILIPINO and took up nursing in the Philippines, I took the NCLEX for the first time MAY 12, 2010, and yes i prepared so hard for it, its hard because my parents is supporting me sending money from the philippines just so I can become an RN here. Im already a permanent resident of the U.S and i am here n CA, los angeles. it sucks last may 12, 2010 i stopped at 80 items, i got home and did the TRICK, it took me straight to the credit card page. but I never gave up, and lost hope, 10 days later I got the letter saying i failed, I was depressed for a month, and it hurts, but life goes on, so i started to review again on july and august. after one month break and 2 months of review 6 days a week i was finally ready to take it again on AUGUST 17, 2010, i stopped at 75 items, and WOW it felt good, i felt good with my questions and everything so confident and i was prepared. although some where hard and some i didnt know. this time i didnt want to do the trick, so i told myself to wait, today is the 20th update on the CA BRN, my name wasnt up but my friend who took it on the 17th also passed and his name is now on the BRN, so i said to myself PV TRICK time, sadly guys CREDIT CARD PAGE, im hurt, but i accepted it this 2nd time, and life goes on, although it hurts the lesson learned here is NEVER GIVE UP. and keep faith in GOD even if you fail thank GOD always for lifes blessings and lessons he challenges us with.
I am new to this website and have NEVER made a posting to any internet site. I felt compelled to post that I found the PVT trick to be accurate. After taking my NCLEX exam Friday 8/20, 75 questions, computer shut down. I waited til it stated delivery successful and did the PVT got the "good post." Since I am a skeptic by nature, over the past 48 hours I have been scouring the thousands of posts on this thread to pass the time and maintain a positive perspective. I was able to get my Quick Results today...exactly 48 hours after my test start time even though it was a Sunday. I PASSED! Good Luck and God Bless!
jboy, make better next time in your preparations in the exam. make sure to review only the essential elements. one thing i learned after the exam is you don't have to know everything, focus on the main points and it'll be fine.
took the exam last july 28, results came up aug 18. my state doesn't partake in quick counts so i waited. passed the first time, stopped at 75, 2h 30mins. it took a longer period for me to take, but i wanted to made sure everything's perfect. that's a mistake but with the help of prayers, i passed.
major categories to focus your study on: infection ctrl, sata (i had lots of it),triage(military and hospital) priority delegation, abc's pharma. master that category. i took kaplan full course, when it seemed i'm about to blacken out, i used kaplan strategies, it really does help a lot.
best of luck.

I suggest you get Linda LaCharity's book on Priority and Delegation. It helped me a lot. I also took NCSBN.com review. It is not as expensive as Kaplan. I did take a free pratice test through Kaplan. Check their site. Another good suggestion is doing 75-100 NCLEX questions a day and read all of the rationale even the ones you get right. I would get some right for the wrong reason. It helps to know WHY something is happening not just memorization. I see you are on YouTube. There are alot of good videos that explain diseases etc. on YouTube. I learned about ABGs, Cushings, Addisons disease etc, some from even USMLE videos (even though they are for docs they still have alot of good info and explain things well).
Kaplan's strategy book is also good. Try the library first. I was able to get Kaplan's strategy book through interlibrary loan. You might some other books as well through the library. If they don't have it, ask if they can get it. It sure helps with the pocketbook.
You have a great attitude! Keep it up! God will get you through what ever He wants you to do! There is nothing too hard for Him!
i used KAPLAN 1st take paid 500 dollars, FAIL
2ND take i used exam cram 2nd edition
and i also used NCSBN 50 DOLLARS for 3 weeks
I answered 5000 questions in 7 weeks before i took my exam, i prepared well, I read the book from 7pm to 2am and answered questions from 11am to 6pm, i prepared for this exam like nother 2x now. and i FAILED just like that. I memorized medications only important common meds and all normal values. I guess this exam is made if your lucky or not. i prayed so hard to pass and im still thankful to GOD no matter what the outcome and i havnt lost hope. im just runing our of money, well if you look at it this way im making 150 dollars a day no tax at assisted living job i have as a care giver 7 days a week, under the table pay. compared to a NEWLY PASSED RN, who is having trouble finding jobs for 5-8 months. so in the bright side, im still BLESSED. no matter what.

I checked out your youtube channel. I'm sorry that you didn't pass. I watched episode 12 and you mentioned that Kaplan is not worth it because the course show you strategies and not about what you are answering. I don't want to be cruel but that is what Kaplan is about. If you don't know the questions on the NCLEX, Kaplan tries to give you strategies (ie. to look at the answers and try to come up with an educated guess). You should have learned the topics of NCLEX in school. I give you credit that you spend 4 hours a day studying. Don't memorize the content, learn how to apply your knowledge. I'll check on your youtube page and hope I see you pass the next time.

Another confirmation of the PVT. Both my wife and I took the NCLEX, tried the "trick," and it works!!
