Hello fellow NCLEX candidates/ test takers! I was an LPN for 7 years before taking my NCLEXRN on January 18th 2014. I heard of the pearson vue trick and tried it 1 hour after taking my RN Nclex. I got the "Good Pop up" and today January 20th I got my results that I did indeed pass! I worried that the trick wasn't working anymore so I figured I would share with others that it does work.
The nitty gritty on the test.
1. Its hard I was a B student in nursing school. An A student in all pre reqs. I am a good test taker but still found it challenging.
2. I received ATT on Monday the 13th and scheduled that Saturday. I did not do a huge amount of studying. Prior to graduation I did a 3 day live HESI review which really helped. I did one Kaplan review that I found free. I used NCLEX RN made incredibly easy and Q&A NCLEX RN by lippencott. I used the CD from later the most. I also used NCLEX 3500. I scrored 77% on pretest in nclex 3500. 64% on Kaplan and all other tests mid 60's. Nothing really made me feel prepared when I sat down. Not 1 question did I feel like I knew 100%. I was totally freaked out when I saw three meds Ive NEVER heard of.
3. My tests shut off at 112 after 1 hr and 55 mins. Each time after question 75 that it didn't shut down I cringed. I had to keep stopping and remind myself that I was still in the game.
4. BREATH when you test. I wrote on the top of my dry erase board "For Grayson" he is my 17month old son whom I do everything for. I Prayed ALOT. I threw my hands up at the computer several times etc. YOU WILL SURVIVE. I did :-)
The PVT tricked worked for me. I took my NCLEX-RN 03/24/2014 and I received the "good pop-up" about an hour later after I took the exam. I checked my state's board of nursing page the next day and sure enough my name and license # were on the website. One of the happiest days of my life! God is sooo good! Congratulations to all the new RNs. Your hard work has paid off
July 31 - update
hi guys took the nclex rn exam this morning. Ended with 82 questions. I tried the pearson trick and got the good pop up. I tried it an hour after when i got home. It said delivery successful and when i tried to register it says "our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time". At 12 noon i looked up at the board's website and my name didn't appear. (I guess this is just too early). But now at 5:40 pm same day, i looked up at the board's website again and wow i see my name and i have a license number and it says when the license will expire. I have been excited since seeing this and i hope this is all real! I will try to wait 2 days to order my unofficial results and i will update you guys if its official. For now i would say that the good pop up pearson trick is a great indicator if you pass or not. So relax if you have the good pop up :)
Hello everyone. Just came by to say that PVT is still legit. I took my exam on 8/6/2014. Screen turned blue after 75 questions. Most questions were SATA, priority and some content questions. Getting all those SATA was brutal. I wasnt confident in how I did. I walked out feeling uncertain....really hated that feeling. It took me about 2 hours to finish, went home in about 2 hours and did the PVT, got the good pop up saying "our record indicate that you already registered for this test. Another one cannot be made at this time". I felt a little better after reading posts online about the "good popup" but I wasnt 100% convinced since some ppl got false positives. I checked about 6 times to be sure it didnt change. Reading post similar to this really got me through the next 48 hours. I was a nervous wreck. I could barely sleep and I dreamt about each quastion I had. Checked quick results today 8/8/2014......I passed!! Finally an RN now. All glory to GOD. CONGRATS to all new RNs.
