Hello fellow NCLEX candidates/ test takers! I was an LPN for 7 years before taking my NCLEXRN on January 18th 2014. I heard of the pearson vue trick and tried it 1 hour after taking my RN Nclex. I got the "Good Pop up" and today January 20th I got my results that I did indeed pass! I worried that the trick wasn't working anymore so I figured I would share with others that it does work.
The nitty gritty on the test.
1. Its hard I was a B student in nursing school. An A student in all pre reqs. I am a good test taker but still found it challenging.
2. I received ATT on Monday the 13th and scheduled that Saturday. I did not do a huge amount of studying. Prior to graduation I did a 3 day live HESI review which really helped. I did one Kaplan review that I found free. I used NCLEX RN made incredibly easy and Q&A NCLEX RN by lippencott. I used the CD from later the most. I also used NCLEX 3500. I scrored 77% on pretest in nclex 3500. 64% on Kaplan and all other tests mid 60's. Nothing really made me feel prepared when I sat down. Not 1 question did I feel like I knew 100%. I was totally freaked out when I saw three meds Ive NEVER heard of.
3. My tests shut off at 112 after 1 hr and 55 mins. Each time after question 75 that it didn't shut down I cringed. I had to keep stopping and remind myself that I was still in the game.
4. BREATH when you test. I wrote on the top of my dry erase board "For Grayson" he is my 17month old son whom I do everything for. I Prayed ALOT. I threw my hands up at the computer several times etc. YOU WILL SURVIVE. I did :-)
