Any thoughts on what it's going to be like for us HH nurses next year?

The way I read it there is no reimbursement for therapy visits so I'm guessing the PT/OT/ST's are going to take a hit or agencies will be cutting staff back.

Not sure what bill passed or adjustment was made. You have a link to the details pertaining to this?

So my understanding is there is a flat rate of reimbursement based on diagnosis. So therapies are not going to be wanted very much. I know there have been massive layoffs in my area due to it. I am not sure how home health in general will survive under PDGM but I wonder if that's the real goal.

I dont know that I fully understand everything about it, but what I do understand kind of scares me. Our manager keeps using phrasing like "getting creative with visits" and "more with less" so that worries me. I plan on doing more research. Interesting info about therapies. From what I've seen it doesn't look great for them.

Same. We had a meeting discussing with therapists about quality over quantity when it came to visits. Im guessing agenicies will be cutting therapy staff or paying less for them. We'll see how it goes for Nursing.
