I just took the exam (and passed!) this week. :)
My unit has study materials that I was able to utilize. The best thing was the book that had each section broken down and then questions that were in the test format. Then the answer guide had the rationale for the answers. :) I simply studied harder on the stuff I don't see a lot of -- heart, for the most part.
Good luck!
I passed the boards back in Jan 2014. I did the NAPNAP online study guide section by section and then read the orange Peds NP certification review book, which also has questions after each chapter. I did this for about 6 weeks then the week before my exam i listen to Barkley's recordings and took notes as i listened. This basically summed up and reinforced what i read/studied over the past 6 weeks. I also did tons of questions daily from the NAPNAP question book.
good luck:)
Is this for CPN? If so, just do the practice questions on PNCB's site. Your employer (assuming you work in a peds facility) should have resources for it as well. The test wasn't bad at all. I'm in a sub-specialty, so I studied up on my weak areas from general peds - primarily GI and cardiac. Study up on growth and development stuff too.

I recently signed up for the PCNB exam for early December 2014. I went ahead and paid the extra money for the study guide online, but I was wondering if there are any other useful materials that I should look into to help me study. I've been a pediatric nurse for two and a half years and not sure if I've been exposed to enough, even though I have enough hours on the floor. Any suggestions are appreciated.
