PCC/MHCC/CCC Portland Fall 2018

Hi everyone, I thought I would start a thread for all the applicants of the Portland, OR area that applied to the schools above. Who else applied ? :)

I applies to all 3 and am waiting for the hear about the 1st round around the middle to end of March. Fingers crossed, hope to make some new contacts, good luck everyone!

@amochka when and how did you hear from OHSU? I haven't heard anything but still have fingers crossed

I just looked back in my emails. I got word from OHSU on March 21st. It was an email inviting me for an interview, with a group number (3A) and the date and time to be there...and rsvp instructions.

@Hallynn Good luck! I hope maybe things at OHSU just go in a long cycle of notifications? Keeping fingers crossed for you too.

That's weird I haven't gotten my point total yet!

I got my points total from CCC in an email this am. The email said that they'd send out interview invites at the end of next week to the top 100. They also told you to look over your points total and let them know if anything is off. Back to the waiting game for another week!

Ah I see! Congrats :) Thank you! I just called and they said as of now if there hasn't been an invite then you probably won't get one but they did say they "could call people in at any point before the interview dates." So there's a small chance!

@futurenurse347 The email was from 'Allied Health Admissions.' Did you check your spam inbox? Maybe they do things in waves...seems to be the way all of this is done at every school ;) I hope you get the point total soon!

I've checked my spam! Maybe it will take longer because my last time is at the end of the alphabet. Good luck to you! :)

I just received mine this afternoon! And yes end of next week is when the invites will be going out.

@HeatherB90 do you remember your point calculations for mhcc? I got declined for pcc but have an interview this month for mhcc. No way I'll get one for CCC since their points seemed like they were only for CCC students.

Getting your cna will seriously increase your points! Don't feel discouraged!

I think they calculated mine wrong anyway.. I have all my prerequisites done and they didn't give me 5/5 points. I put down writing 227 instead of 122 because I had an A and didn't get points for that so my gpa total was off too. I'm not holding out hope though.. I only have 47 points there, with corrections I'd have 50.
