2015 PCC/CCC Nursing waitlist

Hi All,

I am on the waitlist for both Portland CC and Clackamas CC 2015 fall program. I just wanted to know if anyone else is one the waitlist. And to those who were admitted into these programs, are you going to accept or decline your spots.

I'm pretty nervous and want to know if there is some movement on the wait lists for either PCC or CCC.

I got accepted to the PCC program this fall. I also know about 4 people on the waitlist. If I hear of them getting any notification of them moving up on the waitlist, I'll try to let you guys know. They did mention that most of the people on the waitlist got in last year. Hopefully that is true this year also.

Hey PCC wait listers! Just got an email from nursing dept. I had inquired about my standing in wait list pool. They said they couldn't tell me where I stood, BUT they haven't started calling alternates yet. Trying to stay positive.

Congratulations Kwakle, I assume you are accepting your spot in PCC. Was it the only school you applied?

Hi all,

I'm just checking in to see if anyone else has gotten the call from PCC after the orientation yesterday. As far as I understand it's a lottery system and no one has been assigned numbers.

I thought they just went down the list by the number of points you have. I took my prereqs at Sylvania and that's the impression I got. Do you know how many points you had before the essay?

Hey guys! I just got a call from the Nursing program and was accepted into PCC!! So the list is definetly moving. YAY!!!!!

Congrats on getting in. Now that orientation and the deadline have passed, I'm guessing they will start calling people this week. There seemed to be a lot people at orientation, maybe 130+. Mistiq, I will try to let you know if any of my other friends get a call. Btw I made a pcc cohort thread. Trying to gather people there to network and get to know each other.

My mistake thinking they go by points mistiq. Another friend of mine agreed they are picking people by lottery

Thanks Kwakle. I sorta lost hope after seeing that many people at the orientation. I worked super hard and had a 4.0 GPA and completed all my prerequisites before applying. I also have health care experience. Right now the waiting is killing me and I'll really be disappointed if I don't get in. I don't know what to do for a whole year again.
