Hi everyone, this is a thread for the January 2013 PBSC students. I know October is right around the corner, so I am a little frazzled right now. I am preparing for the HESI and have purchased the HESI study guide. Haven't made it to the mandatory information session as yet though. Also I was wondering if the Pro-Calc is a required test for new students as well. I didn't see anything online on testing dates etc for that. Is it similar to the HESI?
Thank you! I've talked to a few advisors recently and I've been pretty relieved to find that the general consensus is that anything over 26 points is a good indication of acceptance.... but you never know. These programs are so competitive! Are you applying to LW or BG?
I actually applied to BG.... I have no idea why don't ask lol. I have 26.9 pts and Latisha told me the same thing. As long as your close to the average which is 27 pts, your basically in the program. I really wanted to apply to the part time program because I didn't take pharmacology before applying. But it's what ever, I just have to work a little harder I guess. Did you take pharm ?

No I haven't taken pharm yet, is it mandatory we take it during the first semester or can we still take it over the summer? I've heard from nursing students that I work with that it wasn't impossible to take pharm during the first semester while working.... but they did say that it was stressful.
And BG is so far! I'm sure you would've gotten into LW, but dedication is dedication... I heard they still try to keep clinicals close to where you listed your address so thats not too bad. :)

Im not sure if its Mandatory. That's good to know Thanks, hopefully I'm at JFK . :) I live right by the lake worth campus.
19 days later and still no points posted =( Is anyone else in the same boat? I e-mailed Leila (sp?) this afternoon...
My points were posted in 7 buisness days, I'd e-mail Myrick if you still do not see any. Do you have any check marks on you limited access application page? I had check marks within the first couple of days, then I had my points at the bottom, then it said "Current Status:Complete" and "Application Program: Nursing Day Program".... I'm not sure if everyone else had the same time line, but my application wasn't reviewed and completed in one day, it was constantly updated.

Thanks, hrlegend! I applied on the 27th, so hopefully I'll see my points soon.
