PBSC 2013

Hi everyone, this is a thread for the January 2013 PBSC students. I know October is right around the corner, so I am a little frazzled right now. I am preparing for the HESI and have purchased the HESI study guide. Haven't made it to the mandatory information session as yet though. Also I was wondering if the Pro-Calc is a required test for new students as well. I didn't see anything online on testing dates etc for that. Is it similar to the HESI?

here we go again! I couldn't do hesi again cuz I'm allowed until November (sucks) so I'm applying with same points LW full time. However, I'm surprised here is no body else!!! last round the PBSC hopefuls was crazy with hundreds of post.It was nice cuz everyone had an eye over the news. This time I'm more relaxed even when my dream is get in, just want to take easy and do not let myself to drive my head crazy as all we did last round. Good luck ladies, hoping I heard anything from you ;)

Good luck you guys!!!!!!!! Ughhh I remember this wait like it was yesterday! Bremac...you may want to see if anyone wants to carpool before you turn it down :) Just saying...

I hope they let you all know sooner than they let us know last time. Be prepared...it is A LOT of work! If I were you all I would be reading the fundamentals book once you get accepted!

I didn't take pharmacology prior to getting in. I heard horror stories so I dropped it :( does anyone have any advice ? Im a nervous wreck. I want to get accepted but if I do get accepted I don't know if ill be able to Handel it.

I'm not sure, I live in Palm Beach Gardens and its a good hour away from me

I just map quest the address, its an hour and 5 minutes from my house.... Wooowza! It's what ever I'm willing to travel. I want this more than anything.

Hey, I didn't think about that. Thanks for the advice :) Im almost set on waiting for the new app period because I graduate with my BA from FAU in May and I will be able to take Pharm in the summer before the program. I have two kids and my youngest is 7 months and Im nursing her so it will be too much too soon!

Go for it! Its going to be hard to turn it down if I get in because I want it very bad also but I don't feel prepared! I want to take Pharm before I get in since I have a new baby I want to minimize the stress if thats even possible lol.

I have a friend in her last semester at PBSC LW and she took Pharm with her 1st sem classes and worked 3 12hr shifts at the hospital so she said its not impossible! Positive thoughts!

& you should be good with those points!! Im wondering how many people applied to BG! The highest points accepted for BG last year was 27. something

Hey samentha! Im applying to bg too. Maybe if we both get in we can work something out and carpool out there together.

No i didnt take it yet. I will have alot of work ahead of me if i do get in! between nursing 1 classes and pharm :/ i just keep reminding myself that all the hardwork will pay off in the end
