PBSC 2013

U.S.A. Florida

Hi everyone, this is a thread for the January 2013 PBSC students. I know October is right around the corner, so I am a little frazzled right now. I am preparing for the HESI and have purchased the HESI study guide. Haven't made it to the mandatory information session as yet though. Also I was wondering if the Pro-Calc is a required test for new students as well. I didn't see anything online on testing dates etc for that. Is it similar to the HESI?

What kind of shoes are you guys going to get?

That's a great question. I'm clueless on which brand is the best to get.

Specializes in Peds, Med-Surg, Disaster Nsg, Parish Nsg.

Trying to find the Facebook page. I think I am going to use my normal nursing shoes, plain white sketchers Work. They clean up really easily and are non-slip. :) they were around $60 when I bought them.

Hey there, I got accepted into LW FT too!! Can't wait to meet u!!

Q for all full timers- are you guys quitting your current jobs for different ones? Working at all? I work full time right now as a medical assistant but obviously can't keep the job. I'm gonna need to wait tables or something. Anyone have any advice? Thanks!

Hi guys!! I was accepted into the LW full-time program too and I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Vanessa and I work part-time over night in the ER and I have 2 kids. I am excited to meet all of you, hopefully we will all do really well if we stick together

Im working per diem right now at a hospital. Gonna have to keep working too as I have 2 lil boys to feed :) The next 2 years are gonna be pretty stressful but looking forward to it!!

Hello to the new people!! If you have a Facebook join our page. It's called PBSC Nursing Program Spring 2013. I'm currently working full time, but I plan on decreasing my hours significantly or even not working at all, at least for the first semester.

Okay I joined the facebook page!! Hope to hear from you all again soon

I currently work per diem; I'm probably going to switch to two nights a week when the semester starts and adjust more if necessary.
