PBSC 2013

U.S.A. Florida

Hi everyone, this is a thread for the January 2013 PBSC students. I know October is right around the corner, so I am a little frazzled right now. I am preparing for the HESI and have purchased the HESI study guide. Haven't made it to the mandatory information session as yet though. Also I was wondering if the Pro-Calc is a required test for new students as well. I didn't see anything online on testing dates etc for that. Is it similar to the HESI?

Where are you girls doing the CPR certification?

I finished mine a while ago at Paramount Training Services, they are located on Blue Heron and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them!

Is anyone else in the LW FT going to be working full time also?
I wokr full-time at St. Mary's at the moment, I may switch to 2 nights a week. That welcome package is really scaring me out of continuing to work full-time.

I signed up for the one at PBSC EMO0123- there are 6 spots left for Nov 17 training. $50.31

Ps I took this course 2 weeks ago and when u sign up it says u need the $20 book from the bookstore. You don't need it!! I bought it but didn't open it once

It's already adding up....BLS = $58.25 (had to sign up for Black Friday at Medical Allied Training because I can't make the 11/17 class and nobody else had a weekend class :(). Ordered 2 name pins at Copy's = $9 each. Didn't buy the uniform, yet, but they're $26.98 for tops, $26.98 for bottoms (with side pockets) and the jacket is $32.98. NMS is going to be $140, not to mention physical, vaccines, and titers. Ouch! Oh and don't forget the shoes...

I'm really excited, too and nervous! I want to get as much crossed off my list asap. You have to get the uniforms and pins at Copy's Uniform...it's across the street from the LW campus in the plaza behind Wendy's. The pins take 2-3 weeks.

What kind of shoes are you guys going to get?

Ok everyone I am going to make a facebook page. I will post the link.

Ok I hope I did this right lol

PBSC RN Program Spring 2013

Lets make this a great page. We can create study groups (even online) ask questions, post frustrations and funny pictures! When we all start classes too please let other students know about this page. I think it could everyone could benefit from it!!
