What's up with the "jobs" section? I keep reading about how hard it is for new grads to land jobs. Sour grapes? Regional?

How far along are you all with getting everything in order? So far, I have signed up and paid for classes, signed up for BLS and taking it on 11/17, got my uniform and pin, bought one textbook, got my titers, and squeezed a stethoscope out of my mom. (Hey, I am not to proud to beg or take FREE stuff!!) Still need to: get my flu shot, go to NMS for background screen/drug test (I think I will hold on to my $$ as long as I can for that one!), buy the rest of my textbooks (I am slowly purchasing them- or hoping for a generous offer from family members :), and get some shoes. Did I leave anything off? Oh jeez, this is hurting my wallet!! Not too much time left guys!! Can't wait to meet and start working with everyone!!

Mine was 29.3 for the PT program. I'm not sure what the minimum was, though.

I've checked Pantherweb and my email 7 times already and it's only 9:30. This is killing me!

My status changed from "Pending" to "Complete". No change in registration date, still 11/7. I don't want to wait until Friday!! Congratulations Mercedes! You are so lucky to not be in suspense anymore!! Maybe they will start changing statuses throughout the day tomorrow?! Man, I can't wait until I know one way or another!

My points posted, but status is still "Pending". Sorry, I should have clarified. I am taking the online Pharm class, too. If you think you won't get a 75% on the tests, then definitely drop it. Since you know what to expect from the class, it won't be totally new information, at least. On the other hand, I have heard that 1st semester is a bear on it's own. I would try to stick it out because its just going to pile up next semester. The Pharm class isn't going to get easier, nor lighten up your load at all. Just something to think about.... Anyway, I have a feeling tomorrow is the day guys!!!! The suspense is killing me!!!!!

Hi all. I applied to the Lake Worth PT program and posted 29.3 points about a week after I applied. I just need the final word so that I can stop worrying. I've been checking Panther Web everyday! I got an email from the registrar that my appeal for Chem classes was approved, although, I never appealed it. I took CHM2045 and CHM2046, but not CHM1032. They said this will be the last time they accept it and any future applications will require that course. I thought that maybe this was a good sign, after all why would they process an appeal that I didn't request for no reason? Then I got the dreaded email about the back up plan. I thought, "Well crap! Maybe this means I didn't get in." Argggg! 2 more weeks and we should know! Also, I am taking Pharm now. It isn't that it is a hard course, just a lot of information crammed into one semester. Good luck everyone! We are all hopefully in for a wild ride come January!

I have been checking my status everyday hoping to see some sort of a change. No luck! Truthfully, I am not expecting to hear anything back until the end of the month, maybe even early November. At least that seems to be the case based on previous posts that I have read from the past few years. I, too, am surprised the message board has been so quiet considering the amount of posts from years prior. Maybe it'll just be us 3?:) Less competition, anyway! Well good luck!
