PBSC Spring 2012 hopefuls

Hi everybody (well at least everyone that reads this :))

I just wanted to see if there's anyone out there looking to start this Spring?

I'm possibly going next week to get my uniforms and trying to get into the doctors about that time too. Im going to NMS probably Wednesday or Thursday. If not next week definitely early the following.

Oh and I was at my sisters today and she had fluids and electrolytes made incredibly easy. :) so happy to have two older sisters who went through nursing school. My bank account is smiling.

What kind of shoes is everyone getting? I'm investing in Dansko's, both my sisters highly recommend them, and having a history of back problems (and clumsiness) I am going to get them. :)

I went to the walking store in the wellington mall to look at the danskos shoes. Unfortunately I don't have the funds to pay for them right now. I completed my CPR training today and Im ready for next week to get here so I can turn all my stuff in!

I'm doing my bls CPR on the 21st. How much were the dansko's if you don't mind me asking. I'm going to try to hand in everything on the 22nd or 23rd.

Just put text books in an amazon shopping cart. At 350 with a couple missing. Ouch!

do you know if we need these book for the entire 2 years? or just this semester? I was looking to rent the book but it wouldn't make since financially to rent the books if we need them the entire 2 years

Yeah, the costs are hurting. On top of nursing necessities, Normal Life Costs are quickly piling up: airfare to see family for the holidays + basic cold weather clothing so I'll survive there + car battery + apartment fees and deposits and movers. All before classes start!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

There goes my savings!

Both my older sisters who are nurses recommend buying, because you can write in them, highlight them, and all around abuse them.
