PBSC Nursing Applicants FALL 2019

Hey everyone! I wanted to make a new thread for people who are applying to Palm Beach State College Lake Worth F/T Fall 2019!!!

I wanted to see what everyone is applying with and things that helped them study for the HESI. As of right now I am applying with 25.2 points but I am taking the HESI next week before I turn my application in. What does everyone else have??

I am applying with 26.53 points. I turned in my application yesterday and it's already been processed on PantherWeb. And I got a confirmation email saying they will send decisions out around May 29th.

YAY i hope we find out that soon... I have applied previous semesters and it took them half of the summer to send out emails!

Do you know anyone else applying and what scores they have? What is your thoughts on my 25.2? I really don't think the cut off will be higher than 25

Hi everyone. I am applying to Lake Worth Full time. I am going in with 25.31. I am hoping to get a slightly better score when I retake my Hesi one more time.

I spoke to one of the advisors before I dropped off my application and she basically said anything over 25 is good. Of course, they never really know for sure. But the lowest accepted has been in the 24s for a while

Yeah that's what I am thinking too... We can really only go off this past year since they changed how they grade the hesi points.

Well good luck, I am taking my hesi on monday so hopefully I will get a higher score, I will post when I find out.

Omg I didn’t notice the rest of your post. Half the summer to send out the acceptances?? Ughhh! I hope that’s not the case this time

Yes they emailed us 2 times after their original date to let us know and said it was due to an influx of applicants.. so annoying!

Also, they send out acceptance emails before denials. So if we all get an email at the same time we are likely to be accepted. I got mine last time like 10 mins after everyone and it was a denial

Yeah I am in the fb group. I'm Amy I replied to your post the other day about LW full time haha.

how did they change the way they grade hesi? would it give people more or less points now?

They give people more points now that's why this past year the scores went up. So for instance instead of me getting 8 points for my 82% on hesi I get 8.2 points now.

is fau or pbsc better for nursing? I'm gonna take pre-reqs at pbsc
