Are there any future nurses out there being driven crazy by this waiting game to see if you are accepted into the program this fall 2014. I have read posts that say the cut offs are higher for fall then spring and I applied with 25.55 points. Is anyone else feeling my pain out there and stalking the PBSC website.
becky0809,
That's kind of my issue too is finding a way to pay for it. I have the money to fund the education but I don't have so much set aside to get by on the few bills I have to still pay while not working. Is the way you found to fund it "shareable" if so please email me at [email protected]
Thanks;)
I agree . I feel it's been very unprofessional on there part . I feel as though they should have wrote a massive email keeping everyone updated on their process, instead of the thousand emails they probably received . With that said , I'm actually an lpn and have several friends that went to the program vouching it had a good reputation with several hospitals in the community . Making it easier to get a job. I was curious about the Bethesda program ? At this point I just want to get into rn school!
Hey everyone,
Well I have news for everyone. I went to see Leila yesterday and a lot of Healthcare points were denied by the dean. According to Leila the letters didn't contain enough information. With that said my point was denied ;( so i didn't get that point which left me at 25.6. As of yesterday the cut-off was 25.7. Please dnt hold me to this bc it wasn't set it stone, it is was still pending. This is what i was told.. I was given the option to appeal my points but I'm just going to go back to FAU. I can't wait any longer for any appeals.

That was my biggest problem with it too... just keep us updated! My family keeps asking about whether I have found out about school and I keep having to tell them "well they're having problems with the applications..." It's making it sound like a really bad program, even though I know it isn't.
With all of this waiting and wondering, is anyone else starting to have mixed feelings about this nursing program? I completely understand that they have someone new doing the applications, but I feel like I am questioning the entire program based on this delay. I feel like I am beginning to question whether or not I should apply to a different school.
Mixed feelings would be an understatement! A very reputable advisor told me that a lot is being changed, and next semester the point system won't be the same. Their getting rid of 2 points bc it hindered many from getting accepted.

So sorry Chestawifey! That is just awful... Thank you for the update though, it is much appreciated. Good luck at FAU! I'm sure it is where you are meant to be!

Which 2 points? That's a bit concerning for me as I will be applying for the spring semester.
Thank you too for being honest . That's a shame . Specially since they said in orientation they want the letter short as possible . Best of luck to you! I don't remember if you said you were going for social work , but I was a psych nurse/ case manager an we had a lot of interns from fau ! It's a really good program

nurse2be2016,
I wasn't sure what I was going to do but I went ahead and faxed my acceptance to Bethesda. Feels like the universe is telling me that is where I am suppose to be. The class sizes are smaller at Bethesda and I am hoping to have more of a family atmosphere there. I just needed financial aid but I found a way to pay for it so I am going to Bethesda! Decision made!!
