  1. Hello, I was just accepted to PBSC RN program and will be starting in two weeks for the 2014 Fall semester, so I can't say too much about the program itself as it has not started. However, I can say that upon admission, the communication for further acceptance requirements has been very disorganized. There has been much confusion as to what is expected for newly admitted students. For example, the acceptance e-mail notifies students that we can buy scrub uniforms from the uniform store, Uniform Advantage, yet a few weeks later we are informed that scrub cargo pants can only have one pocket instead of two, which are the type of pants the store sells. Also there has been much discrepancy about shot records. The e-mail informs students that only two shots records (Hepatitis and Tetorifice) expire and need to be updated. We later discover that any other shots administered later than 10+ years require titers or revaccination. None of this was included in the e-mail. There has been much miscommunication, and I'm hoping this is not representative of the program itself.
  2. Hey guys I got in too! I'm so excited the wait is over! Can't wait to start the semester!
  3. Does anyone know which hospitals are affiliated with PBSC? Just wondering about potential clinical locations.
  4. So I sent Leila an email about my psych point on Thursday. I haven't received a reply, but my points have been updated again. Hope everyone gets all missing points! I'm assuming we will find out this week
  5. Yeah, that was weird, they must have had applicants trying to submit documents after the deadline and addressed that point in the email to clarify o.0
  6. yes, I got that e-mail too. @ChestaWifey, if you got that e-mail, they included the e-mail of the evaluator if there's any discrepancies. Hope you get your healthcare point.
  7. Also, does anyone have an application term for 20151? I read earlier that someone's said 20143. It might not be a big deal, but the delay and suspense of an admissions e-mail is making me analyze every minute detail!!
  8. Just got my health care credit! I'm now at the average with 26.2... Still hoping for one more
  9. At the info session they said that there is no wait list... So what happens if someone declines admission due to attending another program or for other reasons? Is there an alternate list? Surely the vacant seat is not wasted.
  10. Still don't have the healthcare point either
  11. Since the June 26th notification date is just an estimate, maybe people are being denied today, and we all are accepted and will learn this on Thursday =)
  12. My points haven't updated either.. I'm expecting two more-- one for healthcare and one hopefully for psych (AP transcript was received the day OF the deadline ugh lol) I think they will update points and simultaneously send out the emails. The small amount of threads is reassuring, but then again there could just be a ton of people following the discussion who dont have an account.
  13. amc15, I applied to the 2nd degree sequence and my application also says pending. I received an e-mail informing me that I'm on the alternate list. So, we need to wait to see if any available seats open up.
  14. Hello, I've been following this thread but just joined allnurses. I received an e-mail informing me that I'm on the alternate list. Is anyone else in the same boat or is aware of the length of the alternate list?
  15. Hello, I submitted my application on May 15 and my points were posted about 2 weeks later, shortly before the deadline. However, I didn't get the credit for the healthcare experience. I worked at a plasma donation center for eight consecutive months and submitted a letter with all the required information. After seeing my point was not posted, I freaked out and e-mailed admissions by the June 1st deadline with my pay stub attachments to prove the hours worked (hours worked was included in the letter, but I didn't initially send any other documents) I was told that my application would still be reviewed (even though pantherweb says evaluation is complete) and to allow sufficient time to reflect changes. Has anyone else had their points posted and received credit for the healthcare experience point?
