I need advice for Math portion of HESI. Conversions, word problems. Book is helpful, but I want more. Any website or other books that you may have used. I went to an info session a couple of days ago and the Dean stated that in the first semester we will be taking math for nurses and at the end will take a 10 question test and need to get a 90% or higher. And will be drilled with that test each semester. I think it is great because we need to know this for dosage and I like that...it keeps it fresh. I am just starting to stress a little about it. Math is not my best subject so I need all the resources possible. So basically I was wondering what you recommend as far as prepping. Thanks!:) By the way forgot to mention that I am using HESI Admissions Assessment Exam Review 3rd Edition by Elsevier.

I would just be honest in this new interview. Definitely do not say anything negative about former manager. What's the worst that could happen? The say no...okay its not the end of the world. Easier said than done I know. Just make sure next time...think things through. Don't jump the gun when you are having a bad day. Transitioning from student to nurse is so different. You have to speak to someone. Do you have a Nurse Mentor? Or maybe an advisor to speak with when you are having a rough day. We are all human and make mistakes. Believe me I know. I made some mistakes similar to yours in the past and I regret them. If Nursing is what you really want to do...then don't give up! Someone will give you a chance I am sure. Keep the faith and best of luck to you. I really hope it will all work out.

That makes me feel better. I am more worried about the math portion and someone told me that A&P only had like 23 questions! I feel confident with reading, vocab and grammar.

Dwilder, I am sorry about how your feeling. But please don't give up. Is there anyway you could talk to a counselor or advisor from the college? Maybe take classes online if you have to? You are still very young and have time on your side. Talk to different people who will give you a chance. Don't take no for an answer. I would get depressed sometimes too. You have to speak to someone and give yourself a pep talk every now and then. You are an intelligent person because you realize that you need an education to get anywhere in life...to have a good life for yourself and your children. Keep your head up!

Hello, I am currently attending Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth, Florida doing my prerequisites. I am relocating down to the Broward County area and am looking into the possibility of applying to Broward College's Nursing program. I have been reading some negative reviews regarding their program (Central campus in particular). I think the idea of attending school through a hospital is ideal! I was wondering how it went for your at Larkin? Was it all you hoped it would be? Did they hire you after you received your RN?

Hello, just wanted to get some insight into the Lake Worth campus of PBSC's RN program. What is your personal experience with it? Good or Bad? How are the professors? Do you feel confident with the training that your are receiving there? Are you shown respect as a student? What about those who finished the program? I am currently attending Palm Beach State College, but am planning on relocating in the near future to Broward County. I plan on transferring to Broward College and applying to the Nursing Program. However, I have been hearing some very harsh things regarding the Central Campus of Broward College. Is this true? Anything current with regards to the Nursing program in general? I want to make sure that I am going to a great school that will give me the guidance and proper training that I need in order to be a great nurse! What about the other campuses, such as South or North? Are they just as bad? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks
