Hi everyone!! I probably am jumping the gun by posting this already but I'm too excited and just can't believe I'm finishing up my last semester of pre reqs for the program. I take my HESI on Feb 16th. Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone has also taken the hesi and what would be the best study guide to get. Here's to hoping for a great fall!!! :D

My doctor drew titers and told be I was good. I originally got them 20 years ago.

Does your doctor have the proof of not having TB and chest xray?

Hmmm. Do you know how long the vaccine is good for? I got the two dose series in 2002. MD now said its $80 per dose with them. Anyone else find hep. b cheaper at another place?
Hey, I went to Palm Beach County Health Department today to see how much their Hep B was. The lady told me it would be $38, I asked her is that per dose? She said she didn't know, but even if so, that is still half price. Still not sure what I am going to do yet, and thanks for the form :)

Also MJ, did you register for more than just the nursing classes due to the financial aid situation? I am in the same boat and would rather not take another class. Does anyone else know if being in the nursing program is automatically consindered full time for financial aid or do we have to take 12 credits regardless. Uggh..I only have 11 and the only other classes I need for my AA is speech and Lit. I really don't want to take either of those while taking these nursing classes.

Its not counted as full time...and yes I registered for one extra class. It was worth 4 credits so im full time.

Yes, it's 38 per dose. That's a great deal! I'm going to go tomorrow to see if u can get it done. Better safe then sorry!

Hi everyone! I just stumbled upon this thread and thought I'd join in. I'll be starting the full-time program at PBSC this fall too. I noticed that some of you were still looking for a place to get your AHA BLS healthcare provider CPR card. I live in Boca and wanted to let you know that Boca Raton Regional Hospital has the class as well. It's $45, all done in person (versus online). Here's the link: Boca Raton Regional Hospital: Calendar. I'm taking the class on July 14.

So excited to get started, and to hopefully meet some of you along the way!

Specializes in Cna.

Took the drug screen and background test today as well as remaining titers. Just waiting on results and I'm done with everything!! Talked to a few 3rd semesters in the backgrou d facility a lot of them said they're going the 20 th for the information thingy anyone else going?

Yes- I'm definitely going :)

I am also planning on going. Does anyone know how we might be able to find out if NMS has sent our info to PBSC? I would like to check it off my list but I want to know its in their hands for sure. I thought there might be a way to check online or contact Mrs. Boles??

Picked up my stuff at copys today! Whoot Whoot :) so excited! I did the medical e animation, nms drug test and background check, and cpr next week. Did anyone get done and turn in their packets yet?
