PBSC Fall 2012 hopefuls

Hi everyone!! I probably am jumping the gun by posting this already but I'm too excited and just can't believe I'm finishing up my last semester of pre reqs for the program. I take my HESI on Feb 16th. Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone has also taken the hesi and what would be the best study guide to get. Here's to hoping for a great fall!!! :D

I just called the nursing department. The lady that answered the phone said they predicted a decision would be made this week, but the actual lady (Leila Mehmed) that processes the applicants said they will not be ready until next week. She said we are to go by what Leila says. If we want to try to figure out the exact day, she said email Leila and see if she will respond with a day, but the nursing department are unable to tell us an exact day.

It's probably because they have to fix all those students with the chemistry class' applications, so they won't have tons of people appealing when decisions were made. They probably want to be fair. Oooooor she hasn't finished yet :/

Yeah im sure it's for that. Which I am okay with. I just wish they would have done it right in the first place, like telling them they had to appeal it when they applied. I emailed Leila...hopefully she will reply with a date!

I'm all for making it fair for everyone, but they shouldn't have told us that this was the week to expect the decisions. Also, I just believe she's going slow in general. It took her until this week to have everyone's points updated.

i just emailed Leila in regards to all of our apps and to see if next week if we can get a specific date. let's see what happens

Doubtful...but I hope she gives us one. I would be satisfied with that. I mean really we paid an application fee to have our stuff processed I think that's the least they can do for us!

I wrote a letter as well. It may be over load for her I understand but their unorganized process is not our fault. This affects our lives from jobs to home life we need preparation and information this is crazy

They really should have two people processing applicantions, especially during the summer when they're closed on Fridays.
