PBCNP ASU 2016

Hello! This is a thread for everyone applying for the PBCNP at ASU this spring. I submitted an app for this and the traditional program. I have a 4.0 GPA and got a 85.3% on the TEAS. The average accepted score last year I believe was a 1.86. I am finishing my last 2 pre-reqs this fall at SCC. Good luck everyone!

YES!!! It Helps that all my work deadlines are at the end of the month, so I'm trying to decide if I'm dreading the end of the month because of the deadlines or if I'm excited because of decisions!!

Also, If you guys haven't found this thread, you should check it out! There is great advice from some current post-bacc students. They have been pretty good about answering questions so far. I hope it continues!

I just received the email with our advancement scores. We have until Monday to confirm if everything is correct.

Just got mine too! Thankfully, it looks like they didn't make any mistakes on mine. I'll be taking a super close look just to be sure, though!

Just a heads up....the first line in my email said "We are sending you 3 attachments related to your application for the Traditional Pre-licensure Clinical Nursing Program" even though I only applied to the PB program. I called advising to double check and they said it was just an unfortunate typo, but we shouldn't worry about anything being mixed up :)

So it's the consensus that we won't hear back this week like last year? I think they said in the email that it'll be the first week of November. But maybe not.

The trend the last two years looks like exactly 3 weeks from the time they sent the email to verify our scores. So my bet is November 5. I really hope its sooner than that though!

I emailed my advisor this morning and she said decisions will be sent out by Wednesday. So probably no need to constantly refresh the email until Wednesday.

I wonder if they will email out Post Bacc as well as Traditional students too at the same time? I'm so done with the waiting. Its taking a mental toll lol.

They are doing them at the same time. They used to send out post-bacc's first because they assumed that everyone that applied to both wanted the post-bacc as their first choice, but apparently that wasn't the case and some people got upset and complained that they wanted to decide between the two programs. I think as of last year they just started sending them out at the same time. I wish they sent out post-bacc first. Because if I'm accepted to post-bacc, I'd like to withdraw my traditional app so that one of the waiting list people can get into the traditional immediately and have more time to get ready for January.

Some current students have been so kind to offer really great information and advice about the program. Likewise, they have offered to meet with those accepted before the program begins. Hopefully, after the acceptances go out, we can start a Facebook page!
