PBCNP ASU 2016

Published

Hello! This is a thread for everyone applying for the PBCNP at ASU this spring. I submitted an app for this and the traditional program. I have a 4.0 GPA and got a 85.3% on the TEAS. The average accepted score last year I believe was a 1.86. I am finishing my last 2 pre-reqs this fall at SCC. Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone,

So I may have misspoke about the confirmation email, and I didn't want to freak anyone out. My advisor said we would get an email in October regarding our GPA and test scores and didn't mention anything about the confirmation email. My friend's advisor said something about receiving a receipt, and in the past few years, students received a receipt in the form of an email in early September. That may not be he case this year because some people got receipts with their application. If anyone knows or hears anything, please post on here. I did not get a receipt with my app when I turned it in, so I sure hope they have it!

Thanks for the update! They offered me a receipt when I turned in my application but I turned it down. After regretting that decision, I just emailed my advisor for confirmation of receiving my app. If you didnt get a receipt, I'm sure your advisor can confirm for you.

Hey everyone!

My name is Lindsey and I'm super excited about the PBCNP...like the rest of you, I'm hoping my scores are good enough to get in! I applied with a 4.0 GPA and an 88% on the TEAS. Sounds like a lot of you really aced that thing! I thought it was tough, mostly because of how long it was :wideyed: My brain was done way before the test was, haha.

I called and spoke with an advisor about a week ago and got some great info from her. First of all, she said there will not be any confirmation emails this year, but we can expect something in Mid-October to confirm our scores and personal info. She also told me that there are 65 applicants this cycle (not as many as past years, phew!!!). As far as acceptance emails, they are still anticipating those to go our at the end of October/early November.

I'm getting super nervous...not sure if I can wait until then before going crazy :wacky: Best of luck to you all, I hope we all get in :)

Thanks so much Lindsey for sharing this information!

You have amazing scores and based on information I learned from past years, you are above the "average" scores accepted for the past few cycles. Also, I can't believe there are only 65 applicants this year! From everyone talking about the program in my final pre-req classes, I thought it was going to be a lot higher. But yay!!!

I am most nervous about them losing my application or something. I never got a receipt when I turned my app in. So I am going a little crazy. I can't wait until we get our emails in January!!

It's almost October! We are pretty much over the half way point in this waiting game. Yay!

So nervous and SOOOO excited to hear from ASU...I hope they don't make us wait too much longer :)

anyone else get an email tonight congratulating them on acceptance to the college of nursing and health innovation? It really threw me for a loop. It was just a general email about acceptance to the school, not to the BSN major. I knew it was too early to hear, but made my hair stand up haha

Not me! When did you actually apply? I was a previous ASU student, so maybe they didn't send me anything since it's a re-admittance. Just checked my.asu.edu account and I'm still in, so thats good!

Yea, I never attended ASU so that's probably why. I was admitted to the school in July, but they sent me another email tonight. Obviously doesn't mean anything, but was exciting for a second. A couple of weeks left!

Hmm... I didn't get an email either. I've never attended ASU. What letter does your last name start with? Maybe they are sending them to everyone accepted to the school. I did get a letter in the mail last month, but I just thought it was general.

Also, it is concerning that we haven't received our stats check email yet. Last year they got it on the 7th, which was a Tuesday in the second week of October and they found out their acceptances 3 weeks later on the 28th. The year before that they got it on the 1st, and they found out their acceptances 3 weeks later on the 22nd. If we don't get it today, we probably won't find out until November based on the date trends in the past couple of years!

anyone else going a little crazy about the waiting game aka our fate. :banghead:

YUP!

My advisor said we should hear this week, or early next week, regarding the stuff we submitted. Then we should have a decision by the first week of November. Luckily I'm keeping really busy until then to try and stay distracted!
