pay in San Deigo

U.S.A. California

I'm planning on moving to San Diego and was wondering what and RN with 4 years of experience should expect to make. I will be looking for a position in Labor and Delivery and was also wondering what hospitals are known for their L&D, are baby friendly and have a level III NICU. Any info would be very helpful

Hi! I can tell you that with a little over 4yrs experience I'm in the $32/hr range with Sharp, and I think most of the other area hospitals are paying a bit more than that. Sharp Mary Birch (Women's hospital) has a great reputation for L&D and also has a Level III NICU. UCSD in Hillcrest is another big birthing center. They have a Level III NICU and I believe they have the "baby friendly" designation. Hope that helps, and hope you enjoy San Diego!!

how about for a beginner?..say..no experience, just an R.N., how much is SD's rate?

i know sharp's paying $27-28 for new grads, but i'd be interested to know how much everyone else is paying in san diego for new grads.

I will be returning to Alpine early next year after being away for 15 years. Do you know anything about Grossmont hospitals OR?
