Pay rate for new LPN grads

Published

Heyyyy how's everyone doing? Question: I finally found a company I have started the hiring process and I wanted to know what should I ask for as far as pay rate since I'm a new graduate? Is $24/hr. Too much to ask for? I live in New Jersey.

Georgia - SNF - $17-$20 per hour

I'm so glad I'm in New Jersey/New York

Georgia has a significantly lower cost of living than NY/NJ; hence, the pay rates in Georgia will be lower.

However, an LPN's money stretches further in Georgia, where a nice house can be purchased for $90,000 or a nice apartment can be rented for $500 per month. Utilities such as electricity, gas, heating and cooling will be lower in Georgia.

Hi, I reside in the Bay Area and also a new LVN. I got my license in January and started working in February and my starting rate is 25.50/hour. Since I usually work NOC or PM shifts, there is an additional $2 differential to my starting rate. Best of luck to you! :D
