So I've recently graduated from a school in Houston! I'm originally from Oklahoma and I'm soooo ready to move back home! I'm curious as to what all the hospitals in OkC start their new grads at? Houston starts anywhere from 24-27 depending on if it's rural or in the med center. And before I hear anyone saying "nursing shouldn't be about money...." It's not, I wouldn't have went through what I did I'm nursing school if it was only about money but I do have a family that I need to budget for so I was curious what their pay is? Can anyone help me out? TIA

The Oklahoma City metro area is one of the lowest-paying for nurses in the country. Most of the major hospitals still pay new RNs in the $19 to $20 hourly range.
As much as I liked OKC, I remain in Texas for the more competitive pay.
