Pathophysiology online?!?!

Published

Does anyone have experience with this?? I am currently taking Patho online at a community college (I will also enter their nursing program next year). They don't even offer it in person. But, I feel unsure about taking this class online. There's so much to learn and know. Am i doing myself a disfavor?

Also, I'm concerned about learning and knowing all that I need to know. Any tips of retaining this information. I really want an A in this class. I'm currently putting in 2 hrs daily of studying (and 2 hrs daily for Microbio--this class is in person). I still feel like I'm not learning it as well as I should.

Thanks for advice!

Personally, I learn best in an in person class. When I don't understand something I can easily ask the instructor to explain. However, YouTube has so many videos you can learn from. So if online is the only option for you, it can be done. There are several videos where they have lectures for pathophys topics just like if you were in class. My anatomy instructor wasn't great and I relied on these lecture videos to really learn. YouTube has helped me tons when I don't understand something.

It's been a challenging semester taking this class online. I kind of wish I hadn't! I also learn best in the classroom setting. But, I do love the material. I think I would have been stronger connections though if I hadn't been an online class. I also just learned for one of the programs I was looking at I have to take an upper level Patho. So, if I want to attend University of WY I'll need to retake it through them. Also, online. Oy! These programs don't make it easy! I wish these programs were universal pre-requisites.
