Just wanted to give another great review for Uworld. I used Uworld almost exclusively and passed with 75 questions (42 of them SATA!).
The format for Uworld is very similar to the format of the NCLEX, which helped with my nerves. There are a lot of SATA in Uworld (much more than any other test prep I reviewed) and I think that helped me a lot, especially since I had so many SATA on my NCLEX. Uworld also teaches great testing strategies for SATA, safety, and prioritization (by far the most common categories I got on my NCLEX).
The testing strategies in Uworld helped me get questions right, even when I had no idea what the answer was. For example, my first NCLEX question was over a drug I had never heard of. The question was something like "What would you tell a patient about the side effects of ____?" I started to freak out, but then was able to use the testing skills that I learned through Uworld to figure out the correct answer, based on the answer choices available.
In addition to Uworld, I used LaCharity for the last few days before the NCLEX. I am not sure if it helped a lot, but it did make me more comfortable about potential delegation and priority questions.
Anywho, just wanted to give my 2 cents on test preps. I found Uworld to be much more similar to the NCLEX than the other test preps my chohort used, and at the bottom end for the price scale too.
Happy Studying!

Congratulations on passing the nclex. I'm doing uworld right now and my average % is a bit low. Did you just study from the rationales and write down information? Thanks for any advice. and what test strategies from uworld are you talking about?

By the end I got my % up to around 70, I started in the low 50's though. I didn't write anything down, I just did tests on study mode so I could take my time and read the rationals for each right and wrong answer. The testing strategies are built into the rationals- the wrong answers say why they are wrong, and help you to narrow down the correct answers on similar questions.

Thanks for the info, and congrats! I graduate in December and think I'll be getting a Uworld subscription soon. I'd actually never even heard of Uworld until I came to this forum, but it seems like a lot of people prefer it over anything else.

I enjoy UW too but I do wish there was at least some kind of "review" section -- just not questions and rationales. Oh well I guess we have Saunders for that right!
