Passed the TEAS, but disappointed

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hey everyone,

Well, according to my school's cut-offs, I passed the TEAS this morning but I didn't do as well as I thought I would. There were 4 math questions that were the same basic question changed around - but it was a type of problem that was not in either study guide that I bought (both from ATI) :angryfire There was a grammar question that 2/4 of the possible answers were identical, and none of them were right - as if to say one of the 2 identical ones was supposed to be something else.... Oh well. I passed and I can take it again in 30 days if I choose to.

Here is my question now - everyone talks about their 'percentile rank' - there are (2) different ones on the results page. Which one are you referring to - your 'individual percentile rank - national' or individual percentile rank - program'? My school doesn't go by that. Whatever your score is they give you that # of points.

Anyway - thanks to those who encouraged me. I am meeting with the admissions guy on Tuesday to confirm that my file is now complete and see what his opinion is about retesting.

Mandee - hope you did well...Let us know :)

Hey Everyone!

My test results finally came in this morning. My score was 88.8%. It's in the 99th percentile nationally, and in the 98th percentile for my program, so I hope that's good enough to get in. My school awards 4 points for GPA (science prerequisites), 2 more points for GPA (g.e. prerequisites), and 2 points for the TEAS. I have a 4.0 GPA, but . . . I have one course in progress (Intro. Organic and Biochemisty) which will be calculated as a C into my GPA. I haven't really figured out what that will do to my GPA, but I hope it doesn't do too much damage. Oh well, I can't worry about all of this too much, school starts tomorrow for me. Good luck to everyone this semester . . . with school, applications, waiting for acceptance letters, etc.
