I did the practice questions with Uworld and I was blown away at how thorough the rationales were.
Updated:
I just found out on January 25th,2016 that I passed my NCLEX-RN the second time with 75 questions!!! I could not have done it without using the UWOLRD question bank as well as the HURST content review!!!!
I graduated from nursing school in December 2014, did the Kaplan review and their whole QBANK and really didn't feel confident because their rationales weren't thorough enough. I also felt that I couldn't apply the decision tree to any of the questions. I took my first test in March 2015, got all 265 questions and FAILED! After that I was depressed for the rest of the year.
I then bought HURST because I needed content review and that helped me a ton! I also bought LaCharitys Priority, delegation and Assignment, which is a great book as well.
Then my friend told me about UWORLD. I read the testimonials and thought it was just another question bank site trying to make money. I did the practice questions and was blown away at how thorough the rationales were. Not only did you learn why the right answer was right, but you also learned why the wrong answers were wrong and what situations you would instead see those in.
The questions I got when I would practice were actually harder than the questions I got on my actual NCLEX! When I took my NCLEX I felt like my questions were way too easy and that it was too good to be true. I really thought that I failed, but I found out that I passed!!!!!
I just wanted to let people know who are on the fence about buying the UWOLRD QBANK that this site is amazing!!!!! I stand by this product and have told anyone who's asked me how I passed to use this site!!! You do need to put work in though, as long as you do the questions and read the rationales and understand why you got the answer wrong or right you'll be set!
Good luck to everyone who is studying!!! Just believe that it is possible to PASS, and use UWORLD and Hurst to help set you up for success!!!
Congrats to youu.. . Am taking my NCLEX in less than 2 weeks and i have been using UWORLD since jan 6. Their questions are tough and my score is always 55 and above. Is that good enough to pass the NCLEX? Am really scared. I have taken several other questions from kaplan and other sources but their questions are way easy compared to UWORLD. Did you do all the questions in the qbank?
enileg said:Does anyone know if morphine can be used for pain caused by pancreatitis? According to Lippincott and Hurst we do not use morphine. But Uworld said that we can use morphine since "the increase in the sphincter of oddi pressure has not been proven"
My NCLEX study notes also highlight using morphine for pancreatitis ... not demerol.

I'm happy to help anyone who is in the same boat I was! I hope that HURST and UWORLD help you as much as it helped me.

Hello!
i would actually score anywhere between 40s-high 60s. Don't get so caught up on the score you get. I used to do that, but the only thing that matters is if you're learning from
your mistakes and wrong answers. I didn't mind getting questions wrong because it made me review and learn why I got it wrong. I didn't finish my whole qbank. There were still about 650 questions left before I tested.
UWOLRD had so many great questions that challenged me, which actually made my NCLEX test easy. Just keep studying and reviewing those rationales! Best of luck to you!
Hello OP and congrats on passing!!! It's my turn to take the NCLEX in March and I am freaking out. Like you I am using Hurst, and UWORLD (also some Kaplan Q). UWORLD is worrying me--I feel like I don't know anything and some of my test scores have really been in the toilet. I am glad to see that you say the UWORLD bank is more difficult!
My problem is the SATA-- I ALWAYS get the wrong, even when I do feel I know the content of the question wrong because there is always some weird thing I add in (or forget to check). sigh.... I REALLY hope I pass!!!

Hello!
Just keep studying and reviewing your content. Whatever you feel weak in just keep reviewing, thats all I did and it really helped me. I wouldn't get too worried about your scores because all that matters is if you're learning from your mistakes. I was very nervous and worried that I wasn't prepared enough, but when I sat for my test the questions looked too easy. The uworld questions were also very similar to the questions I got on my NCLEX.
Good luck to you! Just use the next month to fully concentrate on your studying and you'll walk in there confident and you'll know that you're going in there and trying your best.

I used Uworld, virtual ATI, and NCLEX Mastery. I give most credit to Uworld for helping me pass, the rationales are second to none. The screen format, if used on a computer, is also very similar to the NCLEX. I felt the same way in regard to feeling unsure about the content. I was only getting scores in the 50s and 60s. My advice is to thoroughly read each rationale and keep doing questions. Aim to have completed 2500-4000 questions prior to testing, ~100-150 per day. Do at least one uninterrupted run of 265 questions and go into the NCLEX with the mindset that you will be there for the full 6 hours. Good luck to you! ?
Billy D- Great suggestions and again reassuring to see that others also feel a bit unsure. Honestly I started feeling like a total idiot! I also see that I'm now messing up on super easy questions. For example, I had a "triage Q" and one person had a gunshot wound to the chest. BUT I of course thought it was a trick and chose something else (person who had fallen and hit head). Of course that is important too--but the gun shot wound was the obvious one. I just got so accustomed to thinking that the obvious WAS NOT going to be the answer. I think going into these exams, we have got to trust ourselves and what we know .
That said, thanks for replying and helping me feel better!! :)
Hey guys...I've been doing 60s on Uworld....I got better score on Kaplan after Uworld but today I went back to Kaplan and I got 56%!!!! I have two more days to study....right now I just finished all the questions on Uworld, Kaplan and NCSBN. I'm re-doing my wrong answers on Uworld....what else should I do? HELP? Do I keep going over the wrong answers on Uworld? I have photographic memory so I'm answering them right coz I remember them....I do read rationales....what else should I do? ='( I finished Uworld says I'm 83rd percentile.
