Hi everyone! I rarely ever post here but wanted to give back somehow. I passed the PCCN this morning 8/30/2020. I used Nicole Kupchik's review course exclusively. I wanted to provide encouragement to others that are looking into getting PCCN certified. I'd love to help; ask me anything.

You can do this!

Congrats! Thank you for sharing. Super helpful.

Hello everyone!

I'm looking into beginning to study for the PCCN. Bought the mometrix PCCN exam secrets already (honestly just because it was the first thing that popped up when I typed in PCCN on amazon at 3am and had good reviews). It seems like theres a lot of people here who've used the Nicole Kupchik review books and course and liked those too. I'm trying to decide between purchasing that course or purchasing the PCCN review course through AACN since it's cheaper but can't find any reviews on if its worth it or not. Can anyone speak to if one is better than the other? Should I just splurge for the Nicole Kupchik package with review course and study guide/question books?

Thanks!

Hello! Sorry for the late reply. I absolutely loved Nicole Kupchik's review course..definitely worth the splurge. Her course and books were absolutely incredible. I learned so, so much. I can't speak for the AACN course since I used Nicole's review exclusively. I hope this helps somehow. Let me know if you have any other questions!

I recently just passed my PCCN. My main study book was Nicole Kupchick Ace the PCCN study guide. I read all the chapters multiple times for about 3 months. Pages were literally falling out of the book. I did supplement a little bit with a binder my nurse educator gave me and some slides I found online. But honeslty, I didn't study these other sources too much. I didn't want to come across inconsistencies and get mixed up.

I did do quite a bit study questions from various sources just because I did not know what to expect. Many of them free or cheap kindle books online. I did get Nicole's book that has the 3 tests. I did also order a test from ACCN for 25 or 30 dollars. The main thing is to practice doing 125 questions all at once to help build endurance. Review the rationales for the ones you get wrong but also for ones you got right but were not 100 percent sure on it.

Hey,

Thank you for sharing! I'm scheduled for the exam this coming April - I purchased the lectures from the AACN website and also the Nicole Kupchik study guides and practice questions (also found med-ED lectures can be helpful but I don't wanna purchase the whole thing for $189). I'm not far done with Nicole's book yet.

Do you know how many CEUs you can get if you passed? It just happens that I have to renew my license this year LOL.
