Passed the nclex rn on the 2nd time!!!!!!

Here we go .................. I graduated may 2011 and i took the nclexin july well i didnt pass!!! I had a hard time geting through it, thinking that why other people passed and I didnt........... I was like that for like a month and dpressed untill i relaxed that it didnt matter...... I needed to get myslef up again and stop thinking of the whys or what if .... so i started going over everything again .... my results the first time were near passing in all areas except, below passing in infection control

This is what i did the first time around:

I attended the husrt review in my local college, and i went over that book they give you twice, and i did about 200 questions,, skimmed the kaplan strategies and then took the exam and well i failed..... I answered 230 questions and ran out of time :eek:

The 2nd time around:

I was offered by hurst to do their redimiation by accepting i was able to view the online lecture viedos which i think were for me. I watch the videos , on top of that i bought the RN exam cram book i only used the cd to do questions, and i used the nclex 4000 for questions, i answered around 2,000 questions and reviewed the correct and the incorrect ones, i also used the la charity book and answered all the the questions on there.....

I went over the labs and math the day b4 the exam and i read a review posted on here once when i printed it 2 weeks b4 the exam and on the morning of the exam I went to ihop at 6 am and went over it i will post the link to it.

For about a month i would carry my ipod around and at nit in my bed when i couldnt sleep and went over nclex questions, the amp is about $4.

I would do 10 or 15 questions in bed b4 i would go to sleep just made it a habit, even if 10 questions were answered i though its better than nothing right!

**** sorry if i rambled lol **** on the 2nd time i answered 180 questions and i ran out of time but i passed!!! I seriously thought i had failed , but what i think helped me was using the kaplan strategies during the exam !! GUYS do read them and try to understand them bc when i read them the first time i just skimmed them and didnt really think about what i was reading !!!! bad bad !!! And do as many questions u can!!! I hope this helps peep.... it is a ugly feeling to fail the exam i was there and it really suxs .... have faith you can do it!!!!!!!
