Passed CGFNS, want to work in US

Hi Great Nurses,

I hear the CGFNS is not very fashionable anymore.Well,I passed it recently and have been issued the certificate.Please can any body tell/assist me from here.I have no clue how to proceed.My dream is to work as a nurse in the US.

Research retrogression as that is the main thing at the moment that will make it hard due to employers not willing to wait the 6+ years for you to get a visa allowing you to live and work in the US. Depending on where you was born will depend on how many years you have to wait but look at 6-10 years wait

In regards to the wait.. you said depending on where you was born? ... does it matter where you were born if you finished your high school and went to a nursing school and hold a citizenship in a country like Australia?

No it doesn't matter. Immigrant work visas are allocated by place of birth

Australians have the option of pursuing the "E-3 Visa"*.

This is only available for citizens of Australia.

Yes E3 visa is an option but they also need to be aware the EB3 is what nurses generally go under in regards immigrant visa and that is determined on place of birth
