Passed ANCC 1st try!

Published

I'm happy to announce I passed the ANCC. I graduated December 2014 and took the exam march 2015. I studied hard for about 3 months:

1. Bates physical exam book. I became familiar with most images and medical conditions.

2. Fitzgerald online review course. She was good with explaining exam strategies, understanding what the question is asking and answering exactly what's being asked.

3. Leik's review book. I reviewed the entire book and all questions at the back of the book.

I knew I was ready and went for it. I prayed for God's help!

Congratulations! Feels good doesn't it:)

all good to know! i have Barkley CD and book set and have started listening (18 months left in school), but EVERYBODY who seems to be successful with the ANCC on these forums seems to recommend Leik...my next purchase!!

MANY MANY warm congratulations and best wishes for a successful career!

Did u have pictures and research, how did u prepare for the research, I'm studying the ancc review book.

It feels real good. Thanks. Now I can use a vacation before starting my new job.

Thank you. It's never too early to start preparing for the boards. I didn't listen to any CDs. Knowing your assessment is key. Bates-newest edition is excellent. Leiks provided a good review.

Yes, I had close to 10 pictures of different skin conditions and what interventions to provide. The research questions were easy. You have to know the highest level of research, middle and lowest and how to apply them. Leiks and Fitzgerald were pretty good on that. Good luck.
