ShyeoftheTiger, any advice before starting nursing school? :)

Yes! We need an advise!

Hmmm... Be prepared for a different kind of learning... If you're used to getting straight A's, the rumors are true: it's really hard! Only one person in our class of 55 has an A in theory (we just took our last test before the final yesterday, so there could be more).

Get used to nursing prioritization: be familiar with Maslow's Heirarchy and the ABCs (airway, breathing, circulation). Also, what you do first in a given situation may not be what your priority is.

Study guides are helpful; which ever company makes your text book should have a corresponding study book... Lippincott makes a good one; PCC uses ATI as a resource as well which comes with a set of books that have been pretty helpful.

PM me if you have questions! I am still in first semester, so all the beginner stuff is fresh :)

I don't know for sure! But I know we started with 57 not 60... My hopeful thinking is that they made it through the alternate list :)

Thanks!!! That was very helpful! Sorry for all the questions, but where are your clinicals? Sorry if you mentioned this already!
