I applied to rcc, sbvc, and Cerritos

I applied too. Someone in the health sciences office told me they have 600 applications! I thought that number was a bit high- i hope she was exaggerating.

Specializes in CVICU.

Maybe not... Smc closed their nursing program to new applicants until they transfer over to the point system and get everyone on the waitlist started.... I am sure A LOT of people who were planning on applying this semester decided to move on to other CC like PCC

I applied last semester and didn't get in :( we shall see again...fingers crossed

Specializes in ER, case management.

Hi Baelin! if you don't mind me asking how are your pre reqs? your sciences? do you have any repeats in your sciences and what grades did you get in all your sciences?? I'm asking cuz I know most programs are strict with repeats and certain letter grades...

Specializes in ER, IICU, PCU, PACU, EMS.

Moved to the California State Nursing Programs forum.

Baelin- I applied for Spring 2014. I haven't heard anything back as of yet. Do you know when they'll be sending out any notifications?

Hi Baelin,

I applied too! From previous posts/threads, people have been getting alternate status/acceptances late Nov - Dec.

Hi.. ok so my overall science gpa is a 2.9 and I had to repeat a&p II and my general ed gpa is 3.0...I know those aren't the best grades, but I had to sacrifice getting good grades for more time with my children...I work full time at a very highly stressful job, have two children, babysit 2 nephews after work, take care of a sick parent, and I'm married to a very needy husband so there's my justifications for my not so well grades...hey I can only do so much..u know what I mean?? So we will see....how about you?

But if ever get into nursing school anywhere, God help me!!! I will be quitting my job so I can strictly focus on nursing school and I will be allocating some of my "life" duties to other family members...so we shall see...it's in God's hands...it will happen when it's meant to be
