Same here. Keep checking my email every minute.:nailbiting:

Me too lol...how ridiculous is that?!?!?

Well the teas testing through PCC starts next week, so hopefully spots will open up!

I'm also waiting...not so patiently...I can't concentrate at work! Haha

Each moment that goes by makes me less than hopeful.

It is my first attempt at applying to programs...but still...I'm not getting any younger.

In fact this anticipation is almost worse considering my 30th bday is tomorrow...one last final for the semester on Thursday and graduation on Friday haha. So stressed!!

Happy dirty thirty, ShannonKelly!

I think Shye is right, you guys. After TEAS results are posted from next week's exam, there are likely to be some openings.

Thank you!

So if I marked my teas as being for may 7 but have not heard anything...should I contact the school or just wait it out? I'm not sure what my next step should be.

Congrats!! I also got an email from LA Pierce College today too that i got accepted. However, I'm an alternate for pcc but I'm happy atleast I got accepted into somewhere :) Have you heard anything about LA Pierce college nursing program? I tried to search on allnurses.com but not a lot of stuff came up for Pierce.

Have you made a decision to accept your spot for Pierce yet? Or still waiting? I spoke to one of the faculty there today and she said over 300 applicants applied and 44 were selected...she said its a traditional program and its rigorous, but they have a strong reputation with hospitals in the area and good pass rates for the NCLEX. I came across some postings that were somewhat negative about the faculty on allnurses and I asked about that and the response was that negative comments are going to be in any program and some faculty are more supportive of students than others. Basically I was told that its competitive and challenging and out of 44 students usually 30 stay in the program. Pierce does have NLNAC accreditation which I know is voluntary and not always required for jobs and advanced degree programs, but it does say something positive for their program I think. Its crazy all this hoping to get into any school and then I feel like maybe I'm nitpicking about comments that faculty aren't very friendly and people saying they know people that leave the program because its too much...its not supposed to be easy. Any thoughts?

Maybe call them and ask? I really don't know. Part of me thought that they issued invitations to folks to take the TEAS on that day. I don't know if the test is open to everyone or not. I took mine at Rio Hondo last year, and no invitation was necessary there. I just made an appointment and went in to take the exam. Does PCC do it that way as well?

(Sorry, guys. This comment was directed to ShannonKelly. I should really learn to use the quote feature!)

Haha if you are posting from your phone, you just hold down the comment you want to quote (it will turn green) and a menu will pop up with the option to quote :)

Thank you!

I was told that we would find out in the next 10 days... I called yesterday (Monday). Personally I think they already chose whose in and their alternates and they'll choose more as people decline. Not trying to be Debbie Downer but that's really what I think. So just have hope that people decline!

Yeah I'll probably just call them tomorrow and see what's going on. :) I'm not sure how PCC does it...although I've taken all my prereqs there ...this is my first time applying to their program. So I wasn't sure what to expect.
