Pasadena City College Fall 2017

U.S.A. California

I was wondering if anyone applied there. I also applied to:

CSUEB

Los Angeles Pierce

Los Angeles Valley (once their apps open on April 11th maybe)

LA county Allied health

COC (I really doubt I get in because I did 2 attempts on the teas)

Glendale Community college

STATS:

OVERALL SCIENCE GPA (3.33)

OVERALL GPA (3.56)

TEAS VI: 72.7%

I know it's early, but I want an early start. I just need to get into a nursing program before my pre-req expire :/ My best bet so far for me is Allied health, GCC, Pasadena, and maybe Pierce

I'm waiting for a status update from PCC as well. Patiently waiting (yea right); turning in my app was a cool experience. They were nice and looked over it to make sure everything was there. From now on I believe they switched to the TEASE 6.....Fall 2017 was the last semester for the TEASE 5. I should sign up to take it; wouldn't be a bad idea if my dreams just happen to fall to pieces. Lol jk. Good luck everyone; blessings.
I had quite the opposite experience. I guess I went in at around lunch time because there was only one lady in the office. I had a couple of questions for her which she didn't know the answer. She seem frustrated by my questions or something. She told me leave my manilla envelope containing all my documents and walked away.

I'm sorry about that, buddy. Was everything in your application packet tho? Did you apply for county as well?

Well, at this point I hope so. I have Lifespan psych in progress at a different CC which is also the only class I have at that CC so I printed out my unofficial transcript for it(I don't think I could get an official transcript since I had no classes done over there). I'm worried this might make my application be considered "incomplete." Anyways, I had everything in my folder including class descriptions of the prereq courses taken outside of PCC.

Yes, I applied to LA county as well.

I don't think it will; I'm sure and hoping they'll catch that it's your first and only class in progress at that school. You should be aight; but I'm not the expert. However......and here's the however..... I believe in progress work still shows up when you order the transcript. I think. I hope this works out for you, bud. How is this semester going for you?

I'm just taking Chem 002b at PCC and it's looking good. I'm expecting an A. PCC is my top choice because it's where I took my prereqs for nursing school. I have grown fond of this school. Also, I highly prefer the hospitals they use for clinicals. However, I've been accepted to Rio Hondo and CSUSM's ABSN program so I'm not at a total loss. I'm hoping for the best for the both of us!

Yesssss to everything you mentioned. Congrats on all your offers. I only applied to these two this schools for the Fall of 2017. In like two weeks we should be informed. Pcc is too cool. I'm there and at Rio Hondo this semester. I'm retaking micro at PCC and it's handful. But I'm holding my own.

This is taking forever lol

Hopefully whoever gets accepted lets everyone know! According to the past threads, it seems like PCC sends out acceptances first, followed by alternates/rejections a week later.

Is PCC entirely a point based system or also a lottery of it exceeds qualified applicants? I have good grades so I hope I get in.

I am so anxious. This wait on PCC seems eternal.

If you don't mind me asking, how many points do you have based on their point system?

I have like 60 points I believe. I don't have a bachelors and I got a bad score on my TEAS. I didn't have time to study and got a 69. I bet everyone else's application is more competitive. But I hope my grades are my saving grace. I didnt get into LACC or GCC, I'm an alternate.
