Pasadena City College ADN Program Spring 2022

Published

Hello! Let's keep each other posted ?

According PCC, for Spring 2022 Admission - Applications will be accepted 8/2/2021 through 8/13/2021 at 3pm.

Hi Steph -

Mine shows the same. I emailed and was told to ignore it; the DON will be updating it soon. We're advised to just keep uploading docs to the MDM. Hope that helps!

For anyone completing the CastleBranch requirements, does it say "overdue" on all the items? The title also says RN Class of 2020, but we are 2022 (I input the code given to us and already paid)... Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Yess same thing happened to me /:

How does she like the program so far? Does she feel the instructors are preparing her well enough for the NCLEX and future employment? Is she able to work while in the program?

Hi!!

She s so busy it took some time for me to get a respond. She likes it so far . she just said its really intense but the professors are helpful. Clincals right now she said its similiar to CNA work but prob change as they learn/train!

Awesome! Thanks so much!!

Does anyone know if we register for classes or if PCC will automatically register us?

@prenursingsteph we were cleared to register by no later than 10/13/21. I would reach out to -----------------------.

Have any of the alternates heard from the school ?

Nope, haven't heard anything since the initial email.

Just spoke to them, she said no one has denied their acceptance therefore they haven't taken in any alternates ?

That makes sense, thank you for the info. I think it’s cause the results came out so early for PCC and they wanted to hear back from admits. Meanwhile the other schools I applied to haven’t sent out results yet, so it would have been a gamble for people to not agree to go to PCC. but I’m pretty sure they could still decline late if they get into a school later that they’d rather go to. That’s why our alternate status says it’s active through this calendar year.

Update on classes and schedules:

I emailed ----------------------- concerning our registration for admitted PCC students and asked if we would need to register or if PCC would automatically enroll us. This is her response (10/25):

"You will be placed into your Nursing courses each semester.  You will receive an email when you have been cleared to register. The email will contain your semester schedule of classes."

Did anyone attend the meeting for the PCC-APU Integrative program? I wasn't able to attend. Was wondering what your thoughts are on it vs the other bridge programs they gave info out on.
