Are there any agencies that you can apply to? They are usually very accomodating to people who wish to work the weekends. I have not heard of anyone just working 4 hours to do med passes...heck, I would do that if I were allowed.
Do you mean a temp agency? What kind of agency do you suggest?
A SNF in Chico, CA had a 4 hour med nurses position for evenings. I considered applying for that before we knew we were moving.
I did find a prn position online and I'm sending my resume over right now. It's in the ER and I'm not sure exactly what it entails but, I'm totally interested. So....we'll see. Wish me luck:)

Yes, I am talking about a temp agency. Maxim Healthcare has sites throughout the United States, I understand, and at this time, I am working through them on weekends as a flu nurse. I will be working about 4-8 hours a day (weekends, only, because I am working full time at a clinic). Search for Maxim in your browser and see if there is one in California where you live. I would have more hours if I had been available during the week. All I do is flu shots and that is it. Not bad. They also have home care and nursing home assignments.

Maxim wants at least 1 year experience and I don't have that yet. Have you found that to be different? That would be great to give flu shots. I did a flu clinic in nursing school.
