also in a past forum I read something to the effect of if you’re not chosen for the NIP they may recommend you to be chosen for the residency program. Anyone heard of that at all?

I'm not sure about that. That was not mentioned when I interviewed.

Can someone please explain the difference between the internship and resident positions? For a lot of places the terms are used interchangeably so I'm confused about the difference. I'm interviewing for the CC&T nurse internship on Thursday. Also, has anyone gotten an offer for a position? If yes, how long was it after the interview that you heard about the offer? Thanks in advance!
