Parkland Summer 2019

Hey guys. I didn’t see anything on Parklands summer residency/internship so I wanted to start one. Hopefully we can keep each other updated on here if we hear back!

@rn2019bsn I applied to Parkland’s ED residency right when it became available, I believe sometime in January and did not receive an email to interview until the 03/19 and was scheduled to interviewed on 03/26. They said they start call backs on the second week of April. Hopefully, we hear back!

Thanks. I was just unsure of how to interpret their lack of a response. Other hospitals have been fairly straight forward with a no or maybe. I guess I will be patient.

No, not yet. I've been thinking about it, but I don't really know what care for plastic surgery patients is like.

I was wondering the same thing cause that was never a rotation in nursing school for me!

I got the offer really late Friday night and was given until April 1st to accept. I think Parkland is notorious for taking a long time to get back to candidates, so I hope y'all start hearing back soon!

@Gen971 I had one weekend rotation in plastics and it is similar to a step-down from BICU and overflow med-surg floor.

do you know about how many they are going to higher this time around?
