Parkland Critical Care and Trauma Nurse Internship Summer 2020

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hello everyone!

I created this thread for those who are interested or applying to the Critical Care and Trauma Nurse Internship at Parkland for the Summer 2020. I'm hoping this thread is helpful for those wanting to talk and ask questions. Good luck to everyone!

Hi! I accepted a job for Parkland's mother-baby residency, but I currently live in the medical district (I can literally see Parkland from my window). I will say it can be very pricy in this area, as most of the apartments are new/luxury. It also isn't the safest area, especially at night in my opinion. I actually plan on moving back with my parents in a Dallas suburb to save money. However, if you want to stay closer to Parkland, the Las Colinas area is also pretty nice and about 15 minutes down the highway. If you don't mind a commute, definitely broaden your search into the suburbs such as Carrollton/Addison, Lewisville, Grapevine, Richardson!

Hey,

I have an upcoming interview for the ER internship and would like to hear more about your interview experience if you don't mind.

Hello everyone, I received a call for an interview for the critical care internship today and was curious if anyone could share their interview experience and also share how the internship is going so far. Thanks!

I got a phone call!

Hey, I got an offer for the Critical Care and Trauma Internship and I was just wondering how your experience is going, pros and cons?

I got an email stating I’m an alternate if someone chooses not to accept their spot. For those who received an offer did they give you a specific date to respond by? When I asked the recruiter she said anytime until the program starts in August. Just trying to be realistic about my chances of getting a spot

I’ve been chosen as one of alternates for this program, would like to know if you ended up getting a spot/ could give me some realistic insight into my chances.

I think we get a few days past the offer date but none of us have signed official offers. I've seen about 7 out of the 15-16 including myself and we seem to be pretty set. Don't know about the other half.

Awesome, I guess I will just keep watching. Would you mind posting when you get the official letter and let me know how long you have to accept? Just trying to make plans

Anyone know what the salary is for this internship?
