Paris Junior college lvn-Rn 2014

Anyone applying to join the PJC transition program in Jun 2014? They said they would be sending out the letters hopefully next week. Not sure what is the acceptable score or how many available seats are available... Really praying that i get in. FOr those who attended the program, how was it? What was a safe point score to have in order to get in. What were some of your experience from application to going through the program. I found an interesting youtube video online for those interested.

Did you get in? I just graduated from the transition program at PJC and I'm in that video. Haha!

I got my acceptance letter. Orientation on the 4 th. How was the program? How was it living in Paris?

I don't live in Paris. I drove an hour to get there every day. The program is hard and very time consuming. But, don't let that scare you! The instructors will teach you a ton and you'll come out knowing everything you need to know. You'll have a good time!

Oh, congrats, by the way!! :)

Thanks. I live 2 hours away so will get a place there. Did you work while going to school? What does it take to complete the program. What advice would you give for someone joining the program

Yes, I did work. But if you don't have too, I recommend that you don't. But if you do have too, I understand that for sure. It just makes it harder. You'll have clinical on Monday and Tuesday and class (lecture) on Thursday. So you'll be off on Wednesdays and Fridays. During some of your clinical rotations, you'll have to drive an hour away to one of the hospitals. Everyone has too. It's just part of the program. You'll have a paper and a teaching project to complete each semester. The summer semester it's over med errors. I would recommend that you just stay focused and study hard. The instructors will give you what you need but it's up to you to study it and learn it. What does it take to complete the program?? DEDICATION! You'll leave orientation feeling completely overwhelmed. But don't let it scare ya! It will all come together, I promise!

Thanks a bunch. Will they let us know which clinical sites we will be going during orientation?

It always took them a little longer to finalize the clinical schedule so prob not. But I bet the first week of classes you will.

Hi there! I am trying to get into the LVN 2015 program! Do you know how many people they accept? I'm super nervous!
