Has anyone had to do one for a job? I interviewed with HR and a nurse, and the next step is to interview with the director and then with a parent. Any advice, or what should I expect?

Why do you need to interview a parent?

Parents will make or break a school nurse. That is just a fact.
Having said that-if they have given that much power to their parents I would step back and make sure you really really want this job and it is worth it to you. If it is then I say good luck, if not then....
I believe they will want to hear what you would want to hear if you had a child (or other family member) in their care.
good luck either way.

In our school there is a parent involved in the interview process for every employee (Teacher, nurse, custodian, whatever) so I wouldn't worry about it. You need their buy in to you as a candidate but it's more about a "fit" than your Nursing skills. Put yourself in their shoes. The parent on my interview committee wanted to know how I would handle certain situations, what I saw my role as in the community, when would I call home, etc. As a parent I want my child's School Nurse to be knowledgeable, quick on their feet and caring. As the Nurse you're the mom at school so parent's want you to be like a mom but with Nursing skills and knowledge(my experience anyway).
Good Luck!
