What would you guys write about?

Topics I thought about:

What nursing means to me?

Why I chose Nursing?

Nursing and the Future (I thought I could write something about how I want to make a positive impact on my generation of nursing)

What would you guys do? If you were reading them, and choosing who gets accepted what would you like to see? :nurse:

I never had to write a paper for nursing. Wow! I guess that I like your nursing and future topic. That one is good. The rest of your topics can easily be put into this paper.

Good Luck!:typing:D

My program assigned us topics, so you might peek through the application packet one more time and see if there are any suggested. If not, I would focus on what nursing means to you and what it is about you that would make you a great nurse. My guidance counselor gave me what I considered to be priceless advice when I was applying. She said to treat the essay as your one opportunity to brag. And really, she was right. Unless your school includes an interview in your application process (some do, mine didn't) the essay is really your only opportunity to tell the school about who you are and explain why they would benefit from admitting you into the program. The essay is also your one opportunity to make yourself stand out, so I would write it ASAP and then edit, re-edit, give it to friends to edit, give it to instructors to edit, and then edit it again before you turn it in, so you know it's as good as it can possibly be.
